The Vibe: "Modern Classic"

The R12 G/S is a tribute to the original R 80 G/S from the 1980s. It’s designed for riders who want a bike that looks like a vintage desert racer but has the reliability and tech of a brand-new BMW.

1. Engine & Performance

• The Heart: It uses the iconic 1170cc air/oil-cooled Boxer engine. It’s not about high-speed racing; it’s about "glorious torque" and a characterful feel.

• Low Weight Feel: Because the cylinders stick out to the sides, the weight is low to the ground. This makes the bike feel much lighter and easier to balance than it looks.

• Smooth Shifting: The bike  included a "Shift Assistant," which allows for very smooth, clutchless gear changes.

• Real Suspension: Unlike many "scramblers" that just look the part, this bike has long-travel suspension (210mm) and high ground clearance, making it a legitimate off-road machine.
